Bronze furniture and fitments: As an artist and designer Georges Hoentschel created an important collection of bronze furniture and objects from the 17th and 18th centuries, extending even to the close of the 19th century: wall lights, fire dogs, framework, decoration, frames, medallions, railings, friezes and so on, all destined to adorn the interior of private mansions. Boulle, Caffieri, Cressent, Riesener were the creators of these indispensable items for furnishing and interior decorating.
